JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) together with the General Elections Commission (KPU) held a meeting today to discuss the re-voting (PSU) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"It's being discussed. It's still being discussed," said Bawaslu Chairman Rahmat Bagja, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 26.

Bagja explained that the KPU is currently reviewing the implementation of the PSU in Kuala Lumpur. Therefore, he hopes that in the next few days there will be further processes for PSU in Kuala Lumpur.

"We hope so, because it is hoped that before March 20 there will be a vote collection and counting in Kuala Lumpur," he said.

Previously, the KPU said that it would hold a PSU in Kuala Lumpur by eliminating the vote using the postal method.

"The KPU has also started PSU activities in Kuala Lumpur by updating the voter list," said Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari at the Indonesian KPU Office, Jakarta, Friday (23/2).

He explained that this data update was based on the Permanent Voter List (DPT) which had been set on June 21 to 23, 2023 in Kuala Lumpur. The data to be updated are unknown addresses.

"Based on the unknown or unclear addresses, we remove them from the voter list, thus becoming the basis for updating the voter list," he said.

The PSU in Kuala Lumpur will not be carried out by adding new voters. The updated data will be synchronized with a list of voters present for the TPS method abroad.

Hasyim said the KPU is also preparing a schedule for updating and re-recruitting the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) to identify the remaining ballots that are still being used.
