Gibran Still Keeps The New Ministry Secret 'Free Afternoon'

Surakarta vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka has not revealed that he will form a new ministry specifically in charge of free lunch programs after he met presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta last week.

"Secret," said Gibrandi, Surakarta City, Central Java, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 26.

The free lunch and milk program was carried by candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka to win the 2024 presidential election.

Based on the quick calculation of the results of the 2024 presidential election by a number of survey institutions, the candidate pair number 2 is temporarily superior to the other two pairs of candidates, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

Last week, Gibrans had told reporters that he would meet Prabowo Subianto to discuss the coordinating ministry if the two were officially declared to have won the 2024 Presidential Election Commission (KPU).

"I'll update you later, yes," Gibran at the time.

Previously, Deputy Chairman of the Expert Council of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Budiman Sudjatmiko, ensured that the candidate pair seriously realized the free lunch and milk program.

"We are serious and because of that, this program requires careful planning from a long time ago, and we have started working on that," said Budiman.

In fact, continued Budiman, this seriousness was shown by carrying out pilot projects for the program in several places, one of which was in Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

In the pilot project, TKN Prabowo-Gibran relied on one kitchen in a restaurant to serve 16 students in each school.

The total number of students who get milk and free lunch in the pilot project is 3,500 people.
