Chancellor Stumbled On Sexual Harassment Case, Pancasila University Foundation Holds Plenary Meeting

JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of Pancasila University, Putri Langka, stated that her party had known about reports related to alleged sexual harassment that befell the university's rector.

The Pancasila University Foundation will hold a plenary meeting to follow up on matters related to the rector's position.

"For now, I can only say that the foundation will soon hold a plenary meeting to discuss the case, including matters relating to the rector's position," Putri said in her statement, quoted from ANTARA.

He stressed that Pancasila University is committed to respecting the ongoing legal process, considering that this case is being handled by the authorities.

"We also respect all parties involved, both as the reporter and the reported party. We adhere to the principle of 'presumption of innocence' until a legal decision is made," said Putri Langka.

Putri also invited all parties to support the ongoing legal process.

"We are always committed to collaborating in maintaining the good of institutions," he added.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya would summon the rector of Pancasila University with the initials ETH (72) regarding the alleged sexual harassment of its employee with the initials RZ (42), which occurred on Monday, February 26.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, confirmed the summons and stated that this case was handled by the Sub-Directorate of Renakta Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya.

The report related to this case is registered with the number LP/B/193/I/2024/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated January 12, 2024. ETH was reported under Article 6 of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS).
