Case Of KPK Employees Visiting Rp550 Million Rises To Investigation

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has conducted an investigation into allegations of corruption related to cuts in official travel carried out by its employees. The case title has been carried out by deciding to be investigated by the KPK itself.

Ali has not been able to elaborate further on this case. This is because the warrant for the investigation (sprindik) of alleged corruption has not been signed.

"If an investigation warrant has been issued, then witnesses will be summoned and we will officially announce it when investigators declare that there is sufficient (evidence, ed)," he said.

The employee suspected of cutting the official travel money has now been fired since September 2023. The dismissal occurred because he was found guilty of violating Article 5 letter a PP Number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline in the form of abuse of authority.

Previously reported, the KPK revealed that an employee was caught in corruption and made the state lose up to Rp550 million. This allegation was revealed after the boss and team of employees reported to the KPK Inspectorate.

"The inspectorate conducts an examination and calculation of alleged state financial losses with a value of Rp. 550 million with a period of 2021-2022," said KPK Secretary General Cahya H Harefa at a press conference at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, June 27.

Cahya said this employee was also complained about slowing down the administrative process. Thus, his colleagues and superiors submit complaints.
