Heru Budi Reported To The Ombudsman Regarding The Polemic Of Kampung Bayam And Bicycle Paths, PKS: Good, Just Face It

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono was reported to the Ombudsman twice in recent days. Heru was reported to be related to polemics with residents of Kampung Bayam and the problem of managing bicycle lanes.

Responding to this, the Secretary of the PKS Faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD M. Taufik Zoelkifli views the report as the right of the public to sue the government in terms of public services. Heru, according to Taufik, must face the report.

"I feel that it's good, yes. They expressed their concerns, continued to make demands and others. Just face it, Acting Governor, if that's the case," Taufik told reporters, Friday, February 23.

Moreover, Taufik views that Heru still has not been able to improve the communication pattern between himself and the community.

To the residents of Kampung Bayam and the Bike to Work (B2W) cyclist community who reported it to the Ombudsman, Heru was considered indifferent and did not care about their complaints who wanted dialogue with him in solving problems.

"So the problem with Kampung Bayam, the issue of bicycle lanes, there is no official answer like what. Until the people themselves who then immediately ask questions in a sense through legal channels, such as to the Ombudsman and the Administrative Court. Yes, the council has been annoyed for a long time," said Taufik.

On Tuesday, February 20, residents of Kampung Bayam reported Heru Budi to the Indonesian Ombudsman because he had not responded to residents' demands for dialogue. Until now, residents are still demanding that the DKI Provincial Government hand over Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) for them to live in.

Then, on Wednesday, February 21, Heru Budi was reported to the Ombudsman Representative of Greater Jakarta by the Indonesian Bike to Work (B2W) cyclist community on suspicion of malpractice in the management and maintenance of bicycle lanes in the capital.

This report to the Ombudsman is the initial stage of B2W Indonesia's efforts to demand that the DKI Provincial Government optimize the security of cyclists. Along with this, B2W is also preparing a lawsuit to the State Administrative Court (PTUN) with Heru as the reported party.

The lawsuit is asking Heru to ensure the safety of bicycle users and follow the rules regarding the spatial details plan (RDTR) and the regional spatial plan (RTRW) that has been prepared.
