Hadi Tjahjanto Becomes Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs, Vice President Says He Can Keep Politics Conducive

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin assessed that Hadi Tjahjanto, who had just been inaugurated as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, understood that to keep the political and security situation conducive.

"I think he already understands very well what to do in order to certainly maintain politics and security so that it remains conducive," said the Vice President when met after chairing the Advisory Council Meeting of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) at the MUI Central Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 21, which was confiscated by Antara.

The vice president said that the figure of Hadi Tjahjanto who led the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs was an "old person", considering that Hadi had served as TNI Commander for the 2017-2021 period.

Meanwhile, the Vice President also hopes that Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or familiarly called AHY who now serves as Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency can continue the work that has been done by Hadi Tjahjanto.

The Vice President hopes that AHY can continue the program that has been carried out by Hadi Tjahjanto, the previous official, so that there will be no land mafia, double certificate cases, land disputes, and others.

"For the Minister of Agrarian Affairs, there are indeed many agrarian problems that have been implemented by the Minister of Agrarian Affairs, who is now the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, so that they can be continued," said the Vice President.

President Joko Widodo inaugurated Hadi Tjahjanto as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, as well as Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono as Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday.

The inauguration of Hadi and AHY is simultaneously in accordance with Presidential Decree Number 34 P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019 '2024 Period, which was set by President Joko Widodo on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in Jakarta.

On that occasion, Hadi and AHY underwent the oath of office guided by Jokowi.
