Two Witnesses Of The Prabowo-Gibran Presidential Election Become Victims Of Persecution In Central Tapanuli

JAKARTA - The National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, revealed two alleged crimes of persecution that occurred during the presidential election (Pilpres) stage in Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. In this incident, two witnesses from candidate pair 02 became victims.

Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Habiburokhman said the first persecution was experienced by a Prabowo-Gibran volunteer named Edianto Simatupang. Edianto became the victim of a group of people beating on February 14, 2024 at TPS 03, Padang Masiang Village, Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra.

"Edianto Simatupang suffered serious injuries to his left eye and a number of bruises all over his body. As a result of the persecution, Edianto Simatupang had to receive intensive care at the Pandan Hospital," said Habiburrokhman at the Media Center TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 21.

The second persecution, continued Habib, was experienced by the witness of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 02 Prabowo-Gibran named James Nahapuh. James suffered serious facial injuries while attending a recount of the ballot at the Sirandorung sub-district office, Central Tapanuli, Tuesday, February 20.

"When calculating the vote acquisition for the president, our witness on behalf of James Nahacih was abused, beaten until he was seriously injured. Currently, the victim has been taken to the nearest Puskesmas for intensive care. Meanwhile, the perpetrators have been detained by Central Tapanuli Police personnel," explained Habiburokhman.

Secretary of TKN Prabowo-Gibran Nusron Wahid added that the recount of votes at the Sirandorung sub-district office, Central Tapanuli, was carried out because there was a difference in the vote acquisition for the presidential election.

"Where before the recount of candidate pair 01 won. Meanwhile, after the recount, it turned out that candidate pair 02 got more votes," said Nusron.

Nusron admitted that he did not know the cause of the incident. However, from the testimony, he said, the victim did not believe the recap results. Because from the data at C1 candidate pair 02 Win, but in the recap it was written losing.

"Well, there they insisted on each other there, asking for a recount process. By asking again to another polling station when asking for a recount of the KPPS, they did not heed," he said.
