JAKARTA - Marshal TNI (Ret.) Hadi Tjahjanto immediately held a meeting with deputies and officials in the defense and security sector on the first day he officially became Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

Hadi officially received the position of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs from Tito Karnavian, who previously served as acting (Plt.) Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs after the post was vacant because Mahfud Md. resigned.

The two of them attended the handover ceremony for the position of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs office, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 21.

After the event was over, the officials one by one shook their hands to congratulate Hadi Tjahjanto.

After shaking hands and taking pictures together, Hadi and his entourage immediately entered the meeting room for the last direction (exit briefing) from Tito and the initial direction (entry briefing) from Hadi Tjahjanto to the ranks of officials of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

After a meeting for several minutes, Hadi and Tito jointly held a press conference to convey the work priorities of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs for the next few months, including maintaining a conducive situation after the 2024 General Election and ensuring that the work of the task force under the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs was completed, including the BLBI Task Force.

President Joko Widodo inaugurated Hadi Tjahjanto as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs at the State Palace, Jakarta. Hadi was inaugurated with Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) who was appointed by President Jokowi as Minister of ATR/BPN.

After the inauguration ceremony, Hadi told reporters that the President instructed him to maintain security and order and maintain an investment climate so that it remains conducive.
