Bali KPU Continues Sound Recapitulation In 57 Districts

The Bali General Election Commission (KPU) has begun to recapitulate the results of the 2024 General Election counting in 57 sub-districts after previously being temporarily suspended due to Sirekap which is connected to the 2024.kpu.go.id Election portal in the synchronization process.

"So after the temporary dismissal process for the recapitulation process in all sub-districts in Bali, today 57 sub-districts have started again, starting from morning to finish," said Bali KPU Commissioner I Gede John Darmawan, Tuesday, February 20.

He explained that the process did not change, the sub-district voting committee (PPK) was tasked with collecting vote acquisition data for each village to then be recapitulated into the system so that people could read the vote count results again.

The recapitulation process for these five types of ballots is scheduled to last until March 2, 2024, for further recapitulation at the district/city KPU level March 3-5, continued the provincial KPU level until March 9, and ended at the Indonesian KPU level.

"Based on the current observations, there will be no addition, the time is enough because the process is long from March 15 to 2. The average speed carried out by friends in the 1 day sub-district can complete two villages because the method is not only one panel, but they can also break down to 3-4 panels," said John.

Previously, this process was stopped because the KPU wanted to align data on the 2024 Election portal with the C Result form which is a guideline.

"If there is a change, of course there will be additional development of votes because counting one village to another will be the accumulation of the voice process per sub-district. If it is related, there is a decrease in the process of lowering votes, it is the result of synchronization using C Results data at the TPS," he explained.

John emphasized that the C form Result presented side by side with the system readout figures on the portal is an authentic reference or data accuracy.

But what is unfortunate is that the Bali KPU often visitors to the portal only see the system's reading figures without seeing any real and transparent evidence of C Results.

"It is better for election participants who do not have C The results of each of them being able to download on the portal. In addition, the real numbers obtained by each candidate, besides that, what will be the process of course is the recapitulation that runs according to the level," continued John Darmawan.
