JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the flow of corruption money resulting from cutting incentives for employees of the Regional Tax Service Agency (BPPD) of Sidoarjo Regency.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said this allegation was investigated by examining the Head of the Sidoarjo Regency BPPD Ari Suyono. He was questioned as a witness on Friday, February 16.

"Witnesses were present and further confirmed and further deepened, among others, related to the alleged details of the use of incentive funds from BPPD employees," Ali said in a written statement quoted on Tuesday, February 20.

Ali could not yet detail the findings obtained by investigators from the examination. However, the statement allegedly made light of the actions of the Head of the General Subdivision and Personnel of the Sidoarjo Regency BPPD Siska Wati.

Previously, the KPK named Siska Wati, the Head of the General Subdivision and Personnel of the Sidoarjo Regency BPPD, as a suspect. He is suspected of cutting incentives and receiving money from state civil servants (ASN).

The determination of the suspect began with a hand arrest operation (OTT) with evidence in the form of cash worth Rp. 69.9 million.

Meanwhile, Sidoarjo Regent Ahmad Muhdlor Ali, who was questioned by the anti-corruption commission some time ago, denied having received money from this case. He confirmed that everything he knew had been conveyed to investigators.

"Alhamdulillah, I was just examined as a witness in the incident in Sidoarjo. I have tried to give true and complete testimony, so that it is clear," said Muhdlor after being questioned on Friday, February 16.
