KPU Says 1,223 TPS Still Wrong Conversion Of Presidential Election Results In Sirekap

The General Elections Commission (KPU) explained the progress of improving the data on the results of the 2024 presidential election which was problematic in the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap).

At the beginning of the discovery of the problem of reading the vote acquisition for the 2024 Presidential Election from the C1 form into the Sirekap system, the KPU found an anomaly or error in data conversion as many as 2,325 polling stations (TPS).

An error in reading the results of the votes in Sirekap has begun to be made. Now, the error in converting Sirekap data with the photo of the C1 form still occurs at 1,223 polling stations.

"Anomalous data for the presidential and vice presidential elections, based on today, February 19, the sixth day, at 8:52 there are still 1,223 polling stations out of 800 thousand with data errors, after the system reads there are inappropriate data," Betty said at a press conference at the KPU RI office, Central Jakarta, Monday, February 19.

In detail, the error in reading the data conversion of candidate pairs (paslons) is at 822 polling stations, all candidate pairs are at 108 polling stations, and some of the candidate pairs are at 233 polling stations.

Meanwhile, so far the input of TPS data into Sirekap aids per day has reached 71.26 percent equivalent to 586,646 polling stations.

Betty explained that the data correction process for the system reading error at Sirekap could not be carried out by the polling group (KPPS) as the uploader of the photo of the 2024 presidential election C1 form from each polling station.

"For the votes acquired by the presidential election, the KPPS can only provide appropriate or inappropriate confirmation of the results of the simplicial reading. The KPPS for the president and vice president cannot make corrections to inappropriate data," Betty explained.

KPPS, continued Betty, can only confirm whether the automatic data conversion is appropriate or not. Then, the data corrency can only be done at the time of recapitulation at the district/city level.

"It is carried out by the district/city KPU through the Sirekap web mechanism because there are markers. When the KPPS states that it is not appropriate, the system is readable and will be repaired by the district/city KPU through a web framework for the features of the president and vice president," he added.
