Prosecutor's Office Searches West Papua Manpower And Transmigration Office

The West Papua High Prosecutor's Special Criminal Team conducted a search at the West Papua Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) to complete evidence of investigations into cases of alleged corruption in additional employee income funds (TPP).

Assistant for Special Crimes at the West Papua High Prosecutor's Office Abun Hasbullah Syambas said the documents confiscated were additional evidence including a letter requesting payment for TPP for the October-November 2023 period.

The budget, he said, had been disbursed 100 percent or Rp800 million per month by the West Papua Manpower and Transmigration Treasurer with the initials AN.

"The case of misuse of TPP has been investigated, so we searched it to confiscate additional evidence," said Abun as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 19.

Previously, he said, the prosecutor's investigators had clarified two witnesses, namely the Head of the West Papua Manpower and Transmigration Office with the initials FDJS and the expenditure treasurer.

Thus, he said, in the near future the West Papua Prosecutor's Office will immediately determine a potential suspect in the alleged corruption case of misuse of TPP funds.

"In the near future we will determine the suspect. The head of the service and treasurer of the expenditure will be quite cooperative during the examination as a witness," said Abun.

During the search, the Special Criminal Team of the West Papua High Prosecutor's Office at around 14.30-16.00 WIT, namely the office of the head of the service and the room of the expenditure treasurer.

In addition to the payment request letter, the prosecutor's office also confiscated a number of documents related to the investigation into the alleged corruption case.
