Hasto Responds To Jokowi Becoming A Political Party Bridge After The 2024 Presidential Election: The Election Is Not Over Yet

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) reminded that the 2024 election contestation, especially the presidential election (pilpres) has not yet been completed. The recapitulation process is still ongoing and the public cannot turn a blind eye.

This was conveyed by Hasto in response to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s statement as an inter-party appointment after the 2024 General Election.

"Actually, the election is not over yet. It is still being recapitulated in stages," Hasto told reporters at the High End building, Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Monday, February 19.

He said, all should continue to monitor the vote recapitulation process carried out by the General Elections Commission (KPU). Moreover, there were a number of frauds that were highlighted by various parties, including community groups.

Hasto alluded to this fraud and even became a documentary entitled Dirty Vote. So, all parties should maintain the current democratic process.

"That conveyed in the Dirty Vote, our democracy has dropped to the nadir point. It is our common concern, because this concerns our future problems," he said.

"How is the democratic process built under extraordinary power intervention," continued Hasto.

President Jokowi alluded to himself as a position when asked about the meeting of the General Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, on Sunday afternoon, February 18. It's just that he did not explain the purpose of his statement.

"This is only the beginning, when it's final we... That's actually me, actually it's just a bridge, the important thing is later parties," said Jokowi at the State Defense Center Hospital, Commander Soedirman, South Jakarta, Monday.
