The Bali PDI-P DPD told the KPU that it was found that the number of valid votes was miscalculated on the 2024.kpu.go.id Election page obtained from the Sound Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) application which continues to process.

"The number of valid votes for political parties and candidates is not appropriate, and there is a sizeable difference that is detrimental to political parties," said Chairman of the Bali PDI-P DPD Wayan Koster in Denpasar, Sunday.

Koster detailed the miscalculation, namely the total temporary votes for all candidates from the DPR RI for the Bali electoral district from his party in the amount of 349,810, and votes for the party 48,904, so that if the total votes were made, they would have been 398,714, while the application contained 381,069.

According to him, the difference of 17,645 votes is dangerous if it is allowed to be read by the public, at least the number they collect still lasts until 20.30 WITA with the incoming voice for the Indonesian Parliament in the Bali electoral district of 39.41 percent.

The former governor of Bali regretted that this condition did not only happen to his party, he helped re-examine the addition of the Indonesian KPU portal with the number of manuals in political parties participating in the 2024 election.

Finally, he found similar losses for the Gerindra Party, which got a difference of 25,965 votes and the Golkar Party had a difference of 29,643 votes.

"Therefore, the use of the Indonesian KPU Sirekap application must be stopped, because it is problematic and will cause chaos, resulting in people not believing in the results of the RI KPU calculation," he asked.

According to him, an information technology audit should be carried out on this system which includes hardware and software governance such as algorithms for calculating the number of valid votes of political parties and candidates from political parties sourced from the votes of political parties plus the votes of all candidates from political parties, so that there is no miscalculation.

"Repairs must be made immediately to produce credible Sirekap system outputs," said the Mathematics Department alumni at ITB.

Meanwhile, until now, based on the monitoring of the Indonesian KPU portal, it is calculated for the election of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the Bali electoral district, 39.41 percent of the votes or 5,048 polling stations have entered with a PDI-P advantage of 53.43 percent, followed by the Golkar Party 12.02 percent, and the Gerindra Party 9.65 percent.
