In Line With The Zero Vision Of Carbon Emissions, The 79th Indonesian Independence Day Celebration At IKN Only Presents Environmentally Friendly Vehicles

JAKARTA - On the commemoration and celebration of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) will present environmentally friendly vehicles in the archipelago, East Kalimantan.

"There will only be environmentally friendly vehicles, such as electric buses, which will operate during the celebration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day at IKN," said OIKN Head Bambang Susantono in Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, February 17.

This step is in line with our vision to achieve Net Zero Emission and create a sustainable mobilization environment.

With these innovative steps, the IKN Authority proves that transportation transformation can be the main pillar in building an integrated, inclusive, and sustainable city to embrace positive changes for a better future.

For information, the celebration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2024 at IKN, East Kalimantan, became the starting point for the movement of the nation's capital city, gradually from DKI Jakarta to Nusantara.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia said that the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence was held at IKN Nusantara on August 17, 2024.

The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) together with the Ministry of PUPR, the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), the Presidential Security Forces, the Permanent Garrison I/Jakarta, and the VI/Mulawarman Military Command accompanied the Ministry of State Secretariat to review the IKN Central Government Core Area (KIPP) for the preparation of the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) at IKN later.

The ceremony took place in the field of the Presidential Palace which was right in front of the Presidential Palace and faced the national axis and landscape views of the entire city of IKN.

Not only the Presidential Palace field, in order to support the smooth ceremony of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence on August 17, 2024 this year, various IKN areas are also reviewed. The Presidential Palace, Memorial Park and Construction Workers Residential will later become accommodation support sites during the ceremony.
