Police Catch A Woman In Halmahera Vocational Dozens Of Voice Letters

A KPPS officer is suspected of voting the remaining ballot paper in West Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province (ANTARA).

The police have succeeded in thwarting the action of a woman with the initials FD (23 years), who voted for 30 ballot papers at two different polling stations (TPS) in the 2024 election vote.

The woman was caught at the polling station (TPS) 01, Akelamo Cinga Cinga Village, South Jailolo District, West Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province, on Wednesday, February 14.

From amateur video footage, it shows that a number of police officers are securing 15 ballots from FD at TPS 01. Previously, FD had submitted 15 ballots at TPS 02 but the officers did not know the action.

The police then asked one of the witnesses to collect a ballot letter behind the ballot booth at TPS 01. Furthermore, the ballot that was broken was calculated to ensure the number of ballots submitted by FD at TPS 01.

This action allegedly involved a number of members of the KPPS and three witnesses. Meanwhile, a number of Banwas members are also suspected of omissioning the perpetrators' actions so that they freely launched the action.

Regarding the incident, Rusly Saraha, a member of North Maluku Bawaslu, Prevention Division, Community Participation and Public Relations, confirmed that the incident allegedly involved members of the KPPS at the TPS.

However, for the number of perpetrators, it is suspected that three people did this.

"There are indications of the voting of the remaining ballots that allegedly involve the ranks of the KPPS and witnesses at the TPS. There are three temporary information received," said Rusly, Thursday, February 15.

The incident has now been handled by the Gakumdu team for the West Halmahera Regency Election.

"So far, information has been deepened by friends of West Gakkumdu Halmahera, and yesterday they went down directly at the scene," he said.
