Logistics Distribution Street, TPS In Milki Papua Can Only Vote For The 2024 General Election Tomorrow

PAPUA - The General Election Commission (KPU) has scheduled a re-voting for the 2024 General Election at the polling station (TPS) of Kampung Milki, Towe District, Keerom Regency, Papua, tomorrow Friday 16 February. Keerom KPU chairman Melianus Gobay said the logistics for the 2024 General Election for TPS in Kampung Milki had arrived after being transported by foot by officers. Melianus explained that the logistics were transported alternately by members of the local polling group (KPPS), assisted by the police guarding them during the distribution. The delegation of officers reportedly arrived in Kampung Milki, after walking about seven hours from Pris Village on Thursday, February 15, at around 14.00 WIT. "It is true, the officers who were accompanied by members of the Keerom Police had to walk through the river to reach Kampung Milki," said Melianus.

Separately, the Head of the Keerom Police, AKBP Christian Aer, admitted that he did not know for sure whether his members who escorted the KPPS officers were transporting logistics for the 2024 General Election to Kampung Milki had arrived, due to problems with telecommunications signals. Communication can only be done after officers return to Pris Village after distributing the election logistics. The logistics distribution for the 2024 General Election, to reach Kampung Milki in Towe District, takes about 15 hours. Officers had to ride a motorbike from Arso to Pris Village for about seven hours, then walked to Kampung Milki. "We have not received a report regarding the distribution of election logistics to Kampung Milki because we have to wait for their return to Kampung Pris," he said.
