JAKARTA - Bawaslu recommends re-voting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Bawaslu chairman Rahmat Bagja said the ballots that had been cast, collected from the mobile ballot boxes (KSK) or posts, were not counted.

"There is no counting and it is repeated with the method of post and mobile ballot boxes," said Bagja as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 14.

Bagja said the incident in the video about a number of ballots controlled and then voting in Kuala Lumpur was true and was one of the reasons Bawaslu recommended re-voting there.

"Because there are many series of incidents of violations which then have an impact on voting methods for postal methods and mobile ballot boxes in Kuala Lumpur," said Bagja.

For this reason, Bawaslu recommended that the re-voting in Kuala Lumpur begin first with updating voter data for postal methods and mobile ballot boxes.

Voters who have registered to vote at the polling station (TPS) cannot be included in the matching and research database (coklit) for updating voter data, and are not included in the post method voting and mobile ballot boxes.

"This is to avoid having activities to vote twice," said Bagja.

Bawaslu also recommended that the Kuala Lumpur foreign voting committee (PPLN) look for methods other than post to avoid the same incident in the video being repeated.
