Attacked By Negative Accusations Ahead Of Voting, Prabowo: If You Can't Kill Your Person, Kill Your Reputation

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate number 2, Prabowo Subianto, responded casually to the many negative accusations against him ahead of the recent 2024 election. According to him, character assassination is common in every democratic party to tackle the victory of one of the candidate pairs who has won.

"This has always happened in history. So I consider it normal, if you can't kill the person, kill his reputation, kill his name, kill his character. We already understand that," Prabowo told reporters in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, Wednesday, February 14.

The Minister of Defense said that if people learn history then it has become a risk. Because Prabowo said, in every change of leadership, there must be something that works and that doesn't work. He only advised, don't be easily provoked by various negative accusations.

"A country as big as us and as rich as we are, a country as important as we are, there must be many who look to it. So we are vigilant, don't let us enter the trap of big games," he urged.

Therefore, the former Danjen Kopassus did not want to bother with accusations of slander and hoax. Like the most recent, Prabowo is accused of being involved in corruption in the purchase of used planes from Qatar.

"It's already for me there is no problem, the important thing is the people. I'm the people, I don't care about people, definitely people who are afraid of me, definitely look for all of them. What is the fear of me?," he said.

The general chairman of Gerindra admitted that he was surprised that the opposing parties were so afraid that he would become president. In fact, Prabowo said, he only had noble ideals for the Indonesian nation.

"I want to uphold the truth, why are they afraid? I want to eliminate corruption, they are afraid, I want my people to be prosperous, I want my people not to be hungry. I want no people aged 70 years to pull rickshaws, that's my wish. What I'm afraid of, I'm not afraid, I defend the truth. I don't need anything anymore, I just want to defend the truth. I want to defend, I don't want to see the poor in Indonesia," he concluded.
