The flood inundation as high as 15 to 20 Cm that hit the ring area 1 access to the State Palace, namely Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, in front of the horse statue Monas, Gambir Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta, had receded on Wednesday, February 14.

Head of Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Maintenance Sub-Department, Achmad Daeroby, confirmed that there was a puddle that occurred on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan.

"Earlier, there was a puddle, only it has receded. We have deployed 4 SDA personnel for handling at the location," said Achmad Daeroby when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, February 14.

Achmad Daeroby explained that the handling of flood puddles carried out was by cleaning up water ropes that were blocked due to the large number of utility cables at the location.

"(handling) It was only cleaning the water ropes. Obstacles at the location have many utility cables in the channel," he said.

In order to anticipate the re-emergence of inundation, his party coordinated with the Central Jakarta Highways Sub-dept. to relocate the cable cable.

Previously, it was reported that heavy rains that flushed the Central Jakarta area from early Wednesday morning, February 14 until 06.00 WIB caused 4 roads in Central Jakarta to be flooded.

Even floodwaters also hit ring 1 area access to the State Palace, namely Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, in front of the horse statue of Monas, Gambir Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.
