Presidential Candidate number three, Ganjar Pranowo assessed that the meeting between Jokowi and Megawati was very good. However, usually, the two figures don't need anyone else to bridge communication. This was conveyed in response to the issue of President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) request to Sultan Hamengkubuwono X to meet the Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri. "It's also good to meet. I just don't know what the problem is. Because usually, Pak Jokowi and Mrs. Mega can communicate directly, there is no need for anything else," Ganjar told reporters in Semarang, Central Java, Tuesday, February 13. Ganjar assessed that it would not be wrong if Jokowi asked Sultan Hamengkubuwono X for help to bridge the meeting with Megawati. However, the former Governor of Central Java did not know what the problem was between the two. "But if there is something wrong today, it's also good for Mr. Sultan as a senior figure, the elder helps, I think we have something good to do. But I don't know what the agenda is yet," he said. Sultan Hamengkubuwono X confirmed the news that Jokowi had asked him to bridge the meeting with Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"That's right, but I'm waiting for the president. I'll bridge it. It's up to the president (the time). I'm waiting. If I need it, I'll be willing," said Sultan when met at the Kepatihan Complex, Monday, February 12. "The one who took the initiative of the President.
