Calm Times, TKN Urges The Public Not To Be Provoked

JAKARTA - Secretary of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Nusron Wahid, appealed to the public not to be provoked by provocations in a quiet period ahead of the voting day for the 2024 General Election.

According to Nusron, the calm period has become a transition period from the excitement of the campaign by returning the mandate to the hands of the people.

"The calm period should be full of peace and far away from political noise. I urge the public not to be provoked by provocations from those who do not want to respect calm times," said Nusron in a written statement, Tuesday, February 13.

"The campaign has been completed, now the mandate and sovereignty are in the hands of the people and it will be fulfilled tomorrow, so we just pray. Hopefully our election process will be peaceful and get the best leadership," he continued.

"We focus on guarding the victory. I instruct TKD and volunteer organs throughout Indonesia to move everything, invite voters to polling stations and focus on escorting votes in each process. Starting from voting, counting, and all the recapitulation processes," he said. Nusron also invited the public to oversee the voting process which will be held tomorrow from all forms of fraud. At least, he said, guarding each polling station around where he lived.

"Do not let any of them be rigged and do not vote. Keep the TPS until evening, until all the votes are calculated," Nusron appealed.

"If there are violations and allegations of fraud, please document and report them to the authorities. God willing, if all people involved in the election we will run peacefully and get a blessed leader," he concluded.
