Dirty Vote Film Response, Anies: Stop Cheating, While There Are Still Two Days

Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan, responded to the film Dirty Vote, which is now shocking to the public for reviewing allegations of fraud, including nepotism in the 2024 election.

Anies assessed that the film Dirty Vote opened the public's eyes to the preparation of the election fraud plan until the voting day later. If this is the case, Anies asks the parties mentioned in the film to stop fraudulent attempts.

"This will damage our election and make the results flawed when it is implemented. So, don't do it, don't cheat. Stop it, while there are still two days," said Anies at Jusuf Kalla's residence, South Jakarta, Monday, February 12.

Anies also emphasized the bad effects that could occur if election fraud continued. The public, according to him, could become angry and no longer believe in the current state administration.

"At the audience. The audience is angry. Be careful with the people who are manipulated, while they want transparency, there is honesty. Be careful with the people because the people will respond to all not cheating in a way that we do not know," explained Anies.

On the one hand, the manganese governor of DKI Jakarta also warned the ranks of the state civil apparatus (ASN), TNI, and Polri to maintain their neutrality during the election. This is in response to the alleged deployment of state officials to win certain presidential and vice-presidential candidates mentioned in the film.

"This election is an opportunity to change the fate of all families, including ASN families, including police families, including TNI families, including the families of village heads," said Anies.

"When the people's desire for change happens, the changes will also be felt by all ASN by their families, their children who can go to low school, children who can get jobs," he continued.

Dirty Vote is an explanatory documentary that reveals alleged election fraud described by three constitutional law experts, namely Bivitri Susanti, Zainal Arifin Mochtar, and Feri Amsari.

These three legal experts explain the practice of nepotism using power instruments with the aim of winning the 2024 election by the rulers.

The cases of nepotism that Bivitri, Zainal Arifin, and Feri responded to were revealed through photo documents, videos, and news pieces. The forms of fraud are unraveled by constitutional law analysis.

According to Bivitri, the film Dirty Vote is a historical recording of the destruction of the country's democracy at a time, where power is abused so openly by people who are chosen through democracy itself.

Tells about two things. First, about democracy which cannot be interpreted as limited to the implementation of elections, but how the election takes place. Not only the results of the vote count, but whether the entire election process is carried out fairly and according to constitutional values. Second, about power that is misused due to nepotism that is forbidden by law in a democratic state of law," explained Bivitri in her statement, Sunday, February 11.

Continuing, Feri emphasized that the film Dirty Vote gave a reminder to the regime that the state's power had its limits. According to him, allowing fraud to destroy elections is tantamount to destroying this nation.

"There has never been an eternal power. The best way to do power is, even though the time of power is short, but working for the people. The worst thing about power is those who only think about themselves and their families by extending their power," explained Feri.

The documentary Dirty Vote is directed by Dandhy Dwi Laksono. This is the fourth film he has directed to take the momentum of the election.
