Securing The 2024 General Election, The National Police Map The Potential For Kamtibmas Insecurity

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters and the regional police and police have mapped out the potential for kamtibmas and geographical vulnerability in the implementation of the 2024 Brata Great Operation to secure the 2024 General Election.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Pol Sandi Nugroho, said that the security of vulnerability in the 2024 Brata Great Operation was anticipated with pre-emptive and preventive patterns that were put forward.

"With the presence of the National Police in the midst of society through bhabinkamtibmas, precision pioneer patrols and assistance of all Polri personnel in the context of harkamtibmas, as well as working with all stakeholders such as the TNI, regional government, KPU and Bawaslu including all elements of society," Sandi said in his statement, Sunday, February 11.

Sandi said, so far security and public order have been conducive, because collaboration and coordination with all elements of society are going well.

Furthermore, Sandi said, the National Police was given the responsibility of security to support the implementation of a safe, peaceful, and dignified 2024 election.

On this occasion, Sandi appealed to all elements of society to maintain unity and integrity, to jointly create a conducive shade and atmosphere ahead of voting until the election of national leadership and members of the legislature.

"The National Police would like to thank all elements of the nation who have helped the National Police for maintaining differences in people's political preferences over the past year, but remain in the spirit of kinship by maintaining tolerance and the spirit of diversity in the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI)," he said.

In addition, he invited the whole community to join hands, reaffirm diversity while waiting for the election of the new national leaders and representatives of the people.

"Thank you for all the input and suggestions to the Police in caring for democracy during the 2024 election process," he said.

Finally, he also ensured that the National Police together with the TNI and all components of the nation were ready to maintain the security of the election process to completion.
