Iranian Foreign Minister Calls The End Of War In Gaza Meaning The End Of Netanyahu

JAKARTA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was trying to prolong the war in Gaza but the region was moving towards stability.

In a joint conference with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib in Beirut on Saturday, Abdollahian said that the war was "not a solution" but the end of the war "means the end of Netanyahu."

Abdollahian, who arrived in Beirut on Friday, held long talks with Lebanese officials and leaders of Lebanese-based Palestinian groups on Saturday.

The visit came after the United States accused groups in favor of Iran and were in Lebanon and Iraq of carrying out attacks on US forces and its allies in the region, including in the Red Sea.

While speaking to reporters with Habib, the Iranian foreign minister said the two countries agreed that war was not a solution and they did not want to expand it.

However, he soon added that Israel's massive attacks on Lebanon would be the end of Netanyahu and his extremist' cabinet.

Quoted from Antara, Sunday, Abdollayan said Israeli PM was "trying to hold the White House hostage" to defend power, repeating what he has said over and over in recent weeks that Israel is trying to drag the US into a wider regional conflict.

He further said that the Palestinian resistance, especially Hamas, "acted wisely and accurately" both on the battlefield and in the political arena, saw that Israel failed to achieve the goals it disclosed.

The terrorized casualties in the Gaza Strip since October 7 have almost reached 28 thousand, even as the Israeli prime minister has given orders to carry out a ground invasion of Rafah in the coming weeks.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said that the US was moving in two directions simultaneously providing weapons to Israel and discussing a political solution, adding that if Washington sought peace, the country should stop the war.

"It is the White House that must choose whether to remain an Israeli hostage or focus on solutions and end the war," he said, adding that Israel would not be able to continue the war even for an hour without US support.

He also alluded to a series of attacks on ships linked to the US and UK in the Red Sea in recent weeks by Iran-aligned Houthi groups, and said the Yemeni group was trying to put pressure on stopping the war in Gaza.

On the next visit to two countries, the Iranian foreign minister was scheduled to visit Syria on Sunday.
