Many Attacked And Defamated, Gibran: We Just Smile

The candidate for vice president number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked his supporters to respond casually if they found many attacks and slander against him ahead of the voting day for the 2024 General Election.

"I ask all ladies and gentlemen, who are active on social media, do not need to be responded to, there is no need to be attacked back, there is no need for slander to be rewarded with slander. We are smiling," said Gibran during the grand campaign "Posko Pemilih Prabowo-Gibran (Kopi Pagi)" at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, West Java, reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 9.

Gibran said this was in response to attacks and negative news on the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo-Gibran ahead of voting day for the 2024 General Election on February 14.

The Mayor of Surakarta emphasized his commitment to stay focused on the vision and mission carried out, without being affected by interference from other parties.

"We just focus on the programs we have. Don't badmouth the program from other candidate pairs," said Gibran.

In front of his supporters, the eldest son of President Joko Widodo asked that there be no voters who do not use their voting rights, although many surveys state that the electability of the candidate pairs has reached 50 percent.

"The survey, which is already above 50 percent, means nothing if many golput (white class). Don't be complacent with the survey results that are already high," said Gibran.

In his oration, Gibran said that he and the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) would continue the program that had been planned and run by the Jokowi government so that Indonesia would be better off.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you will agree if the existing programs are now being continued, PKH (Hope Card Program), KIS (Healthy Indonesian Card), KIP (Smart Indonesia Card). It will be continued and the coverage will be expanded," he said.
