Riau Islands Police Escort Election Voting In 3T Region

The Riau Islands Police (Kepri) are ready to oversee the voting in the 2024 election in disadvantaged, frontier and outermost (3T) areas.

The Head of the Riau Islands Regional Police, Inspector General Yan Fitri Halimansyah, said that all Riau Islands Regional Police personnel in charge of guarding the election voting had carried out a health check to ensure the condition of each officer.

"Later, vitamins will also be provided, tools that may be special equipment as well, such as life vests, they will be equipped after arriving at the Resort Police to provide security on the island of 3T," Yan said after carrying out the BKO PAM Personnel Shift Apple (under control of security operations) TPS reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 9.

He said that as many as 5,914 polling stations in Riau Islands, among them 5,539 TPSkategories were less vulnerable, 295 polling stations were vulnerable, 80 polling stations were very vulnerable to the total involvement of 3,679 police personnel.

"The shift of troops assigned to regional units is 911 personnel, including the Barelang Police 686 personnel, the Karimun Police 150 personnel, the Lingga Police 15 personnel, the Natuna Police 30 personnel, the Anambas Islands Police 30 personnel," he said.

Yan said that BKO personnel began to depart for their duties on February 12, 2024, by carrying out the duties of the National Police in securing polling stations, namely assisting KPPS in securing polling activities, calculating and recapitulating votes at polling stations.
