Hindus Hold Joint Prayers For Peaceful Elections At Rawamangun Temple, East Jakarta

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly attended Santi Puja's activity or a joint prayer conducted by Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia and 9 Hindu Religious Organizations simultaneously throughout Indonesia to pray for the peace election.

The joint prayer activity was carried out at Aditya Jaya Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Thursday, February 8, evening. The activity of Santu Puja was attended by 300 people.

"We believe Hindus are devout people, both in worship and in law," said Kombes Nicolas at the location.

The police chief also appreciated Hindus' commitment to oversee the peaceful elections.

Santi Puja's prayer reads Puja Tri Sandya, Panca Sembah, and Janapam repeats Prince Mantra 33 times.

The 9 Hindu religious organizations that attended came from Hindu Dharma Indonesia Women (WHDI), Indonesian Hindu Prajaniti, Indonesian Hindu Youth Association (Pemada), Dharma Indonesia Hindu Student Association (KMHDI), Sanggraha Nusantara Pinandita (PSN), Indonesian Hindu Hindu Cendekiawan Association (ICHI), Indonesian Hindu Lecturers Association (DHI), Hindu Nusantara Acarya Association (Pandu Nusa), and the Indonesian Pasraman Educators Association (P3I).

Meanwhile, Pinandita Chairman Sanggraha Nusantara (PSN), Pinandita Gede Pastika said, Santih Puja was held simultaneously throughout Indonesia.

Starting from Bali, West Java, Central Java, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, Southeast Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Maluku, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and several other areas including districts/cities throughout Indonesia.

"This is a form of the attention and commitment of Indonesian Hindus in supporting peaceful elections," he said.

Chairman of the Daily Executive of Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia, Major General TNI (Ret.) Wisnu Bawa Tenaya said, Indonesian Hindus are committed to supporting the implementation of the elections on February 14.

"The Hindu people are aware of themselves as part of the Indonesian people and are bound by Dharma Agama and Dharma Negara," said Major General TNI (Ret.) Wisnu.

He also appealed to all Hindus in Indonesia to maintain and support the implementation of jurdil and peaceful elections.
