Rokan Hilir Police, Riau arrested an ecstasy pil dealer who allegedly killed a local police officer for an overdose.

Rohil Police Chief AKBP Andrian Pramudianto said that after a series of investigations, the police arrested four suspects, namely FA, AIS, DA, and IS. They were arrested at a dimly lit cafe in Banjar XII Village, Tanah Putih District.

"The Opsnal team searched and found a plastic box containing two yellow pills, one gray purple pill, and a yellow pill which was all suspected of being ecstasy," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 7.

Previously, it was known that three policemen took drugs at the cafe. One of them died due to an overdose and the other two were detained at a special placement (patsus) in the Profession and Security Division of the Riau Regional Police.

The FA dealer suspect admitted that the ecstasy pills belonged to him and were obtained from IS to be resold at his cafe. The next day the development was carried out and the Opsnal team managed to arrest IS at his home.

Currently, the four suspects and evidence are being held at the Rohil Police for the investigation process. Investigators will carry out developments to uncover other drug trafficking networks.

"The Rohil Police are committed to fighting drugs and not tolerate drug trafficking. We take firm action against drug dealers and abusers," said Andrian.
