No Odd Even In Jakarta On 8, 9, And February 14

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) canceled the odd-even system in Jakarta on Thursday, February 8; Friday, February 9; and Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the odd-even elimination on the three days coincided with Mother's Day and Joint Leave for the Isra Mikraj Commemoration Day of the Prophet Muhammad SAW on February 8 and 9.

Then, February 14, 2024, is the voting day for the 2024 General Election.

"Article 3 paragraph (3) of Governor Regulation Number 88 of 2019 concerning Amendments to Governor Regulation Number 155 of 2018 concerning Traffic Restrictions with Odd-Even Systems stipulates that traffic restrictions with odd-even systems are not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays stipulated by Presidential Decree," said Syafrin in his statement, Wednesday, February 7.

This odd-even elimination takes into account the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 10 of 2024 concerning Voting Day for General Elections in 2024 as National Holidays.

This also refers to the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religion, the Minister of Manpower, and the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 855 of 2023, Number 3 of 2023, Number 4 of 2023 concerning National Holidays and Joint Leave in 2024.

It is known, the odd-even system is enforced from Monday to Friday which is divided into two sessions, where the first session is enforced from 06.00 WIB to 10.00 WIB. While the second session is enforced from 16.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB.

Drivers who violate the odd-even rule will be subject to a maximum fine of IDR 500,000 in accordance with Article 287 paragraph 1 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
