Mother And Child Murder In Subang, West Java Prosecutor's Office Prepares 5 Public Prosecutors

The West Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has prepared five public prosecutors (JPU) to oversee the trial of the murder of a mother and child in Subang Regency.

"The case was tried at the Subang District Court (State Court). There were five prosecutors, they came from the West Java Prosecutor's Office and the Subang District Attorney's Office (Kejari)," said Head of the Legal Information Section (Kasipenkum) of the West Java Attorney General's Office Nur Sricahyawijaya, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 7.

Cahya ensured that the case, which was scheduled for the first trial next week, would be handled professionally and according to procedures.

"Yes, we will work professionally and according to the SOP (standard operational procedure)," added Cahya.

The five suspects who will be tried in the murder case with mother and child victims, Tuti Suhartini and Amalia Mustika Ratu, are Yosep Hidayah who is Tuti's husband and M. Ramdana, Tuti's nephew.

Meanwhile, three other suspects, namely Mimin (Yosep's young wife) and Arighi and Abi Anak (Mimin), are still in the process of completing the files.

Regarding the case's demands, Cahya emphasized that the Prosecutor's Office will fight to provide justice for all parties, in accordance with the facts found in the trial.

"Regarding whether the demands are maximal or not, we will see from the facts of the trial," said Cahya.

The West Java Prosecutor's Office has stated that the case files for the murder of mothers and children in Subang, with the suspects Yosep Hidayah (YH) and M. Ramdau (RD), have been complete and delegated to the Subang Kejari.

The two case files, based on the results of research and coordination of investigators and public prosecutors, were declared complete or P-21 dated February 2, 2024.

Then, the surrender of the suspect and evidence of the case or stage 2 at the Subang Kejari was carried out on Tuesday along with 240 pieces of evidence, such as a car and a motorbike. After being handed over, Yosep was detained at the Subang Correctional Institution (Lapas) and Danu was detained at the West Java Police Prison.

To note, the case of the murder of the mother and child began on August 18, 2021, at 07.00 WIB, the bodies of two victims were found, namely Tuti and Amel, in the trunk of the car covered in blood. Both are strongly suspected of being victims of premeditated murder.

In the premeditated murder case, there were five suspects in the murder, namely M. Ramdanau, Yosep Hidayah, Mimin, Arighi Reksa Pratama, and Abi. Until now, only Danu and Yosep have been detained by the police, while the other three suspects have not been detained on the grounds of subjectivity of investigators.
