A total of 602,180 cigarettes without excise or illegal stamps from East Java failed to be circulated in Jakarta and Banten after being secured by officers on the Pantura Adinuso route, Tegal, Central Java (Central Java).

It is estimated that the value of the confiscated goods reached Rp. 828 million with a total potential state loss (causing + PPn HT + cigarette tax) of Rp. 574.33 million.

"This is still within our expectations. However, for the exact results, we are still waiting for the results of the disbursement from the Tegal Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office (KPPBC)," said Head of Enforcement of Regional Regulations of the Batang Regency Satpol PP, Muhammad Masqon in Batang, Central Java, Tuesday, February 6, confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the disclosure of the case began when a joint team carried out an action operation in the Bawang sub-district and planned to continue their journey to other sub-districts.

However, he said, on the way, the joint team found two suspicious minibuses crossing the north coast route, Adinuso, Monday, February 5. so that officers stopped the car for inspection.

"We stopped the two minibuses suspected of carrying illegal cigarettes and it turned out that there were two passengers and a driver carrying the illegal cigarettes," he said.

Currently, evidence and the three suspects have been brought to KPPBC Tegal for further examination and security. "For further examination, we submit it to KPPBC Tegal," he said.
