Xpander Driver Who Hit 3 People To Death In Pekanbaru Becomes A Suspect

PekanbarU - Pekanbaru Police, Riau Province named a driver with the initials RM as a suspect in a traffic accident that killed three people and several other residents were injured on Jalan Karet.

"We have named the perpetrator and have detained him," said Head of the Pekanbaru Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Alvin Agung Wibaw, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 5.

In the deadly accident, one of the victims named Vika Putri Andini died at the scene, Saturday (3/2). Two other victims died named Syahrial Siregar and Aisyah Naifa Fadel who breathed her last at the hospital, Sunday (4/1).

The car accident at that time hit a number of motorcycle riders Rizki Ari (27), Findramin (56), Aisyah Naufa Fadhela (4), Alfatih (6), and one person without an identity. In addition, several pedestrians such as Sanum Khaira Azalia (1.5), Rafafar (4), and Vika Putri Andini (8) also became victims.

Based on the results of the urine test, it was stated that Alvin, RM was not under the influence of alcohol or narcotics when the deadly accident occurred. Until now, it is suspected that the accident was caused by the negligence of the Xpander car driver.

"The results of the ampethamine urine test and metrapethamine are negative suspects. We check alcohol too negative," he added.

Meanwhile, the other three victims are still undergoing intensive care at Santa Maria Pekanbaru Hospital. The police are still developing the fatal accident incident.
