Prabowo: Our Wealth Is Extraordinary But Continues To Take Other Nations

MANADO - Presidential candidate number two, Prabowo Subianto said Indonesia turned out to have extraordinary wealth, but was continuously taken by other nations.

"Ladies and gentlemen, our nation, our country has been given extraordinary gifts by God Almighty, God Almighty. We turned out to have extraordinary wealth, but our wealth has been taken for a long time by other nations," said Presidential Candidate Prabowo during a speech at the Sario Manado KONI Field, reported by ANTARA, Monday, February 5.

Prabowo said that President Jokowi several years ago outlined the importance of protecting domestic natural resources.

"We no longer want to allow our natural wealth to be sold by people abroad," Prabowo quoted Jokowi as saying.

President Jokowi, he said, often called him and said, "He said, the Minister of Defense without us processing the wealth in the country, in Indonesia it is impossible for our people to prosper."

Prabowo said he agreed and had a heart with President Jokowi.

"In the past I competed against him, losing twice. But, but, we, Pak Jokowi and I never hated each other, never hurt each other, we respect each other and respect each other," he said.

In 2019, he said, President Jokowi won again, but then invited himself to join.

"I am willing to join to serve the Indonesian people together. It turned out that after I joined, after I worked with him closely, I saw him very hard work for the Indonesian people," said Prabowo.

In Prabowo's eyes, President Jokowi always defended the little people, always thinking about the fate of the poorest and the smallest.

"And I declare I am ready to continue," said Prabowo, who was greeted boisterously by his supporters.
