King Juli PSI: Criticism Of Pak Jokowi From The Beginning, Insulted Every Day

BALI - Secretary General of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Raja Juli Antoni responded casually to criticism of the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conveyed by academics from several universities. “Critics against Pak Jokowi, ‘kan, dari dulu ya. Dihina setiap hari, ‘kan, jadi nggak ada masalah. Itu sebagai masukan,” kata Raja ketika ditemui usai acara kampanye akbar PSI Mawar Melawan di Gelora Ngurah Rai Denpasar, Bali, Antara, Senin, 5 Februari. According to him, everyone has the right to criticize and submit input. “ Everyone has the right to criticize, provide input, and even slander is also accepted every day by Mr. Jokowi,” he said. Anyone who provides input, he continued, will be openly accepted for better changes. "Anyone who criticizes must be well received to make, finalize our democracy," said Raja. Previously, several academics from a number of universities such as Gadjah Mada University (UGM) alumni, the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) academic community, and several other campuses submitted petitions in the form of criticism of the Jokowi government. They alluded to ethics and statesmanship in their petition. In addition, several political officials have also criticized the government and hoped that the implementation of elections would remain honest, fair, and confidential. The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has determined three participants in the 2024 presidential election, namely the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md number 3.

The 2024 election campaign period will take place from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024. After the campaign period, there will be a calm period on 11-13 February 2024. Then, the voting schedule will take place simultaneously on 14 February 2024.
