BPBD Bogor Evacuates 31 People In The Grave Gang Whose Houses Are Threatened With Landslides

BOGOR - The Bogor City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) evacuated 31 residents whose houses were threatened with landslides in the Tomb Gang, Cilendek Village, Bogor City, West Java. Head of BPBD Bogor City Hidayatulloh said the landslide occurred on Sunday afternoon when it rained heavily. Residents then reported to BPBD via social media that there was an abrasion of the Cidepit River water channel. The landslide with a height of about 6 meters and a width of 25 meters covered the Cidepit River and threatened residents' houses and public facilities. Several tree trunks were also carried away by landslide material. "We BPBD and the village head also contact us directly to the location. The efforts we made were unstable, the land was still moving, meaning we evacuated the residents first,” Hidayatulloh said in Bogor, Antara, Monday, February 5. He further said that the 31 people who were evacuated came from two RWs, namely RW 1 and RW 5. In addition to threatening residents' houses, the affected public facilities were posyandu, poskamling, and ojeg posts. Currently BPBD is trying to make residents vacate their homes because it is feared that the land will move again. "We immediately made a police line with Babinkamtibmas friends, anticipating the worst possibility," he said. Furthermore, said Hidayatulloh, BPBD educates residents to vacate the surrounding area. Then relocate the affected residents to their neighbors or to the rented house. "The possibility that the houses are badly affected cannot be occupied, we do temporary housing (huntara)," he said.
