SUMBAR - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of West Sumatra (West Sumatra) has followed up on two cases of violations of the neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN).
West Sumatra Bawaslu Commissioner Muhammad Gaddafi said that until the 2024 election campaign period his party found two cases of violations of ASN neutrality and had been followed up according to the rules.
"Of the two cases handled by Bawaslu, one case in West Pasaman Regency has been processed and submitted to the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN)," he said in Padang, West Sumatra, Monday, February 5, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said KASN had also ordered its staffing development officials to impose moderate sanctions.
"Meanwhile, another case in Agam Regency is still in process and has not been transferred to KASN," he said.
Gaddafi explained that violations of ASN neutrality in the 2024 General Election in West Sumatra tended to decrease compared to the 2019 General Election. In the 2019 election there were 27 cases of ASN neutrality in West Sumatra spread over 10 districts/cities. The ASN was given light to moderate sanctions.
Although the number of cases related to ASN neutrality has decreased, West Sumatra Bawaslu, according to Gaddafi, continues to supervise because potential violations tend to increase.
