Ahok: I Focus On Winning Ganjar-Mahfud In Jakarta

JAKARTA - PDI-P politician (PDIP), Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok officially resigned from the position of President Commissioner of PT Pertamina. Ahok will focus on winning Ganjar-Mahfud in Jakarta.

"I will focus on the campaign, especially in Jakarta," Ahok told reporters after the Ganjar-Mahfud Grand Campaign at Gelora Bung Karno, Saturday, Fabruari 3.

Actually, Ahok has intended to resign from his position for a long time. But it was constrained by the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) which continued to resign.

"I have wanted to withdraw for a long time. The problem is that the GMS has resigned, I have to make sure the company's work has been at the GMS, right," he said.

"This year Pertamina must be able to save at least 46 percent, from the procurement of goods. That's why I have to put it in the GMS," continued Ahok.

After all the problems are resolved and the time is considered appropriate, then Ahok is sure to release his responsibility at the state-owned company.

"There is a risk management director inside, now it has been inaugurated, that's why I dared to let go," he said.

Ahok resigned from his position as President Commissioner of PT Pertamina. He chose to go down the mountain to campaign for Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD in the 2024 presidential election.

"This upload is proof of my resignation letter as the President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) which I submitted today, February 2, 2024," said the caption for Ahok's upload of the resignation letter via his personal Instagram account, Friday, February 2.

"I hereby declare that I support and will participate in campaigning for presidential candidates Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD. This is so that there is no more confusion regarding my political direction," continued Ahok closing with the word'merdeka' nickname.
