Prabowo: I Oath To Protect The Community From Sabang To Merauke

Presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto expressed his desire and readiness to become president for all Indonesian people, including for people who do not vote for themselves in the 2024 presidential election.

"I want to be president for all Indonesian people, including those who did not vote for me, and including those who may not believe in me," Prabowo said at the Thanksgiving event welcoming the New Year of Naga Kayu which was held by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Committee of China at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), Jakarta, Friday, February 2 evening.

Prabowo emphasized that although the voting day for the 2024 General Election is only a few days away, his determination remains strong.

He repeatedly emphasized his commitment to becoming president for all Indonesian people if he received a mandate from the public and won the presidential election.

"In twelve days we will hold the presidential and representative elections of the people. I have repeatedly said, I am determined when I receive a mandate from the Indonesian people, I will be president for all Indonesian people," Prabowo said, as quoted by Antara.

He also stated his intention to pay attention, protection, and services to all levels of society in the country.

The defense minister also emphasized that he had been determined since his youth to maintain and defend all Indonesian people.

Prabowo admitted that he had vowed when he became a TNI soldier to protect the people from Sabang to Merauke, from Mianggas to Rote Island, regardless of ethnicity, religion, race, or ethnicity.

"I will defend all ethnic groups, all religions, all races, and ethnic groups. That is my oath. Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, is different but one," said Prabowo.

He also voiced his determination so that Indonesia can continue to live in harmony, security, and prosper in the midst of pluralism.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has determined three participants in the 2024 presidential election, namely the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD number 3.

The 2024 election campaign period will take place from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024. After the campaign period, there will be a calm period on 11-13 February 2024. Then, the voting schedule will take place simultaneously on 14 February 2024.
