Adin Jauharuddin Elected As General Chair Of GP Ansor 2024-2029

JAKARTA - The XVI Congress of the Ansor Youth Movement (GP) has appointed Addin Jauaruddin as the General Chair of the 2024-2029 GP Ansor Central Executive.

Addin was elected by acclamation after all participants of the XVI GP Ansor Congress agreed to be the successor to the leadership baton H Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.

After being elected, Addin admitted that he would focus on developing two areas that were his priority. First, human resource development. Second, strengthening the economy of Ansor cadres.

In addition, he admitted that he would continue the programs that Gus Yaqut had implemented during his leadership.

"Continuing what Gus Ketum has built, Gus Yaqut," said Addin as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, February 2.

He also said that his leadership in the future would bring Ansor to drive the big agenda of Nahdlatul Ulama's struggle.

"Ansor as a genetic element of NU is the driving force of Nahdlatul Ulama's struggle agendas," he said.

This GP Ansor cadre who was born in Cirebon, West Java previously carried out the mandate as the General Treasurer of GP Ansor for the 2016-2021 solemn period.

Before being active in GP Ansor, Addin was a cadre of the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII).

In that organization, he once carried out the mandate as the top leader, namely to become the General Chair for the solemn period 2011-2013.
