Cak Imin: I Have Reminded Jokowi Many Times, Even Though It's Your Son But Don't Take Sides

SERANG - Candidate for vice president number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar reminded President Joko Widodo not to side with the presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election so that neutrality is maintained in the election.

Cak Imin admitted that he had repeatedly reminded Pak Jokowi not to take sides even though it was to his son who is currently running for vice president.

"Pak Jokowi, I have reminded you many times even though it is your child, but don't take sides, sir, because this country is in favor of danger," he said during a meeting with the retired Banten Province ASN group, reported by ANTARA, Friday, February 2.

According to him, as a leader he should protect all Indonesian people. Because, he said, Jokowi held the highest position and power in the country.

In addition, Cak Imin claimed support for himself and his presidential candidate pair, Anies Baswedan, is expanding and becoming a new hope for the Indonesian people. According to him, the sound of support for change is increasingly unstoppable.

"The sound of change cannot be dammed by anyone. The sound of change cannot be covered by anyone," he said.

Cak Imin is also optimistic that he can get 70 votes in Banten. Cak Imin assessed that the people of Banten have a strong fanaticism in providing support for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 1.

"Alhamdulillah, Banten includes DKI Jakarta and West Java, we have reached optimism for winning in these three provinces. 70 percent of the votes in Banten," he said.
