Prabowo Unggungli Ganjar And Anies In East Java Indicators, Factors Are Ulama, Jokowi And Khofifah

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka dominates the East Java (East Java) region based on a recent survey from Indonesian Political Indicators. There are at least three factors that make Prabowo-Gibran's electability rise in East Java.

Secretary General of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board, Saifullah Yusuf or familiarly called Gus Ipul explained the first factor, namely the influence of ulama and kyai very significantly.

"Secondly, the implied support from President Jokowi also plays an important role," said Gus Ipul in a statement on the results of the Indonesian Political Indicators survey

Gus Ipul said support from ulama and kyai, including those who rarely appear in public, was very influential where the majority of scholars in East Java tended to vote for Pak Prabowo.

"Many kyai from the village proactively express their support, even though they have never directly interacted with a candidate pair or a successful team," he said.

Meanwhile, the second factor, said Gus Ipul, is that President Jokowi's support has a significant impact in East Java, considering that Jokowi's level of satisfaction with Jokowi's performance in this region is still high.

Meanwhile, the third factor is related to the reason why Prabowo-Gibran's election has increased in East Java, namely the support of the Governor of East Java as well as the Chairman of the NU Muslim PP, Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

"This survey was carried out after Mrs. Khofifah supported Prabowo-Gibran. As a result, the electability of pair number 2 increased rapidly," said Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators Burhanudin Muhtadi.

It is known that in the survey conducted on January 14-19, 2024, Prabowo-Gibran was superior in East Java with 56.2 percent.

From the comparison of the survey of Indonesian Political Indicators at the end of December 2023, the voting is still 11.6 percent. Now, at the end of January 2024, the figure has dropped to 8.2 percent.

The survey involved 810 respondents using a simple random sampling method and a margin of error of around 3.5 percent.
