AHY: We Commit To Continue Jokowi's Program

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) stated that the party bearing the Mercy Star symbol is ready to continue President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) programs.

In the Democratic Party's Grand Campaign in Malang City, East Java, Thursday, February 1, AHY said that in President Jokowi's administration, there have been various achievements and progress for the Indonesian nation to date.

"Under President Jokowi's (leading), we have succeeded in achieving progress. We are committed that those who are good will continue, those who have not, we will perfect them together," AHY said as quoted by ANTARA.

The Democratic Party is one of the parties that supports the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The pair is committed to continuing the achievements made by President Jokowi.

AHY explained that various programs initiated by President Joko Widodo so far, such as infrastructure development, will continue. The infrastructure development is important to support the Indonesian economy.

In addition to continuing infrastructure development, AHY continued, the Democratic Party also wants to improve people's welfare by creating new jobs, increasing people's income so that they have maintained purchasing power.

"We will continue infrastructure development and others. We will improve people's welfare, create jobs, increase salaries so that they have good purchasing power," he said.

Presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto added that if he and Gibran Rakabuming Raka are elected president and vice president, he will give AHY a big task.

"AHY will be given a very strategic task. We need the best Indonesian sons and daughters to manage wealth and eliminate poverty," he said.
