Men From NTT In Denpasar Are Being Chased By Residents For Stealing Women's Cellphones MiChat

West Denpasar Police, Bali arrested a man with the initials AT (26) from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) for stealing a cellphone belonging to a commercial sex worker (PSK).

The perpetrator committed the theft of a cellphone after having sex with the victim who was 'ordered' via MiChat.

West Denpasar Police Chief, Kompol I Gusti Agung Made Ari Herawan said the perpetrator was arrested on Wednesday (31/1) night. The perpetrator was arrested by residents while trying to escape from the boarding house on Jalan Gunung Soputan, Padangsambian Kelod Village, West Denpasar, Denpasar City.

"The AT together with evidence of a Vivo Y35 brand cellphone was brought to the West Denpasar Police Office to undergo further investigation," said Kompol Herawan, Thursday, February 1.

At first, the perpetrator 'ordered' women through MiChat and met at the agreed location. After having sex, the perpetrator stole the victim's cellphone who was in the bathroom.

The conscious victim immediately shouted at the perpetrator 'thief'. The boarding house neighbor took the initiative to chase the perpetrator and arrest him.

"After the perpetrator was arrested by residents, our personnel immediately secured him along with evidence to be taken to the West Denpasar Police Headquarters, for further investigation," he said.
