Rahmad Majid Gani Inaugurated As A Member Of The Kaltara DPRD PAW Arief Hidayat

TANJUNG SELOR - Chairman of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Albertus Stefanus Marianus inaugurated Rahmad Majid Gani as an Interim Substitute (PAW) for members of the 2019-2024 Kaltara DPRD replacing Khaeruddin Arief Hidayat from the National Mandate Party (PAN).

Chairman of the North Kalimantan DPRD, Albertus, said that previously the PAW process had been running according to the stages.

"Furthermore, Mr. Rahmat Majid can adjust the main duties of the diversity, at least he can carry out his duties and will be discussed together with his respective factions," he said, Wednesday, January 31.

The same thing was expressed by the Secretary of the Council (Sekwan) of the Kaltara DPRD, Muhammad Fandy, who said that the PAW Arief Hidayat process was adjusted to the request of the PAN faction approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"Previous factions have written and forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs and then approved," he said.

Meanwhile, Rahmad Majid Gani said, in the remaining time as a member of the council, he would work optimally, especially to fight for the aspirations of the community regarding infrastructure. Like the road that currently needs to be considered in Tarakan City.

"The government's target, for example, is to complete the SDF port and provincial roads, which currently need improvement and some need to be improved," said Rahmat.

Separately, the Chairman of the DPW PAN Kaltara, Ibrahim Ali, emphasized that the PAW Arief Hidayat process had been carried out since last November 2023.

"Arief Hidayat resigned well from PAN. After there was a cassation decision related to the corruption case that dragged his (Arief Hidayat) name, we respect the legal decision," said Ibrahim, who is also the regent of Tana Tidung.
