Tomorrow Friday, Jokowi Plans To Attend The Ansor GP Congress On A Ship

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will attend the XVI Congress of the Ansor Youth Movement (GP) which will be held aboard the Pelni KM Kelud Ship at Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, Friday 2 February. This was conveyed by the Minister of Religion as well as the General Chairperson of GP Ansor Yaqut Cholil Qoumas in his statement after a meeting with President Jokowi at the Presidential Palace, Yogyakarta, Tuesday 30 January. "God willing, the President will be present to give us directions on Friday, 2 months 2 of 2024," said Yaqut, quoted by ANTARA. According to Yaqut, the GP Ansor Congress this time is more special because it will be held at sea. The plan, after being opened by the president at Tanjung Priok Port, the Pelni KM Kelud ship will travel to Tanjung Emas Port Semarang, Central Java.

Yaqut said this congress would be an extraordinary momentum as well as a new thing for religious youth mass organizations. He said that President Jokowi also hoped that the congress would run well and smoothly. "God willing, everything will run smoothly because previously we, Ansor, had already done pre-congress. So, we have finished crucial things in pre-congress and congress, it's just a matter of determination," said Yaqut.
