The panel of judges at the Medan District Court sentenced two defendants to life in the case of being couriers of 133 kilograms of marijuana.
"Sentenced the defendant Agus Rudiansyah and the defendant Juanda for life," said Chief Judge Martua Sagala at the Medan District Court, North Sumatra, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 30.
Martua said the panel of judges stated that the two defendants were proven and guilty of violating Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with 132 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
