President Jokowi Inaugurates 7 Regional Roads In DIY

President Joko Widodo inaugurated seven regional roads in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) which is the implementation of Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim seven sections of the Regional Road Inpres road in the Special Region of Yogyakarta this afternoon, I declare that it was inaugurated," said the President in his remarks reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 30.

Through this Presidential Instruction, the government is committed to not only building toll road infrastructure. The government is also committed to accelerating the improvement of regional road connectivity.

"Through this Presidential Instruction, we will handle damaged non-national roads," said the President.

The President also explained that in DIY, the government has handled seven roads and one bridge. The handling of the road uses a budget of IDR 162 billion.

"In Kulon Progo Regency one section, in Gunungkidul Regency two sections, in Bantul Regency two sections, in Sleman Regency two sections," said the President.

The President also hopes that all roads can be immediately used by the surrounding community. One of them is to increase mobility, both people and goods.

"And encourage equal distribution and regional economic growth," said the President.

Based on data from the Ministry of PUPR, the seven roads and one bridge that were inaugurated were as follows:

1. Jalan Wonosari-Mulo (Tungkidul Regency)

2. Semanu-Karangmojo Street (Tungkidul Regency)

3. Prambanan-Gayamharjo Street (Sleman Regency)

4. Jalan Gejayan-Manukan (Sleman Regency)

5. Patuk-Terong Street (Bantul Regency)

6. Jalan Imogiri-Dodogan (Bantul Regency)

7. Pandansimo Bridge (Batul Regency)

8. Brosot-Toyan Street (Kulon Progo Regency)
