Atikoh Story, Ganjar Dendam Against Poverty Because Children Can't Go To School

The wife of the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, Siti Atikoh, said that her husband, who is a presidential candidate number three, has a grudge against poverty. Because, material limitations can be a reason for the potential for a child not to feel honed.

"Mas Ganjar has a grudge against poverty because poverty causes a child who has the potential but the hope is cut off because he cannot receive higher education," said Atikoh in his speech when meeting with students in the Tambak Rejo area, Jombang, East Java, quoted on Monday, January 29.

This reason is what makes the pair number three, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD will present a program of one poor family, one undergraduate if elected. The hope is that young people will be able to improve the quality of human resources (HR) and improve the condition of their families.

"And we hope that if Pak Ganjar-Mahfud MD gets the mandate, one of the flagship programs is for underprivileged families, one undergraduate will be facilitated by the state," he said.

"Because with that, the improvement of human resources and each family, God willing, there are children who can become role models, empowerment in the family," continued Atikoh.

Furthermore, Atikoh said that he understood the difficulty of getting education. Moreover, he became an orphan when he was still studying.

So once I went to college I became an orphan where none of his other children had worked. So your mother can understand, so we are people who really understand the struggles to get education," he said.

"And with us being able to achieve higher education, at least we can be independent, can help a little more families and the surrounding community. And we want every Indonesian child to have the same opportunity," concluded Atikoh.
