The General Election Commission (KPU) prioritizes logistics distribution for the most difficult, furthest, and remote (3T) areas in Lembata Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

"What is prioritized is the furthest sub-districts, we have mapped them, so they are distributed by land and sea," said Lembata KPU chairman Elias Kaluli Making from Lewoleba, the capital of Lembata Regency, NTT, Sunday, January 28, which was confiscated by Antara.

The Lembata KPU has mapped the hardest, farthest or remote areas.

There are several villages, including Nilanapo Village, Omesuri District, Tobotani Village, Buyasuri District, and also in several villages in Atadei, Nagawutung, and Nubatukan.

The logistics distribution to the farthest area uses land transportation equipment, both cars and motorcycle taxis. The Lembata KPU also uses pikul at several points that cannot be passed by vehicles.

Meanwhile, shipments using motorboats are carried out to distribute logistics to Tobotani Village in Buyasuri District.

Elias explained that the distribution of logistics was carried out in stages, starting from the KPU to the District Election Committee (PPK), and then PPK to the Voting Committee (PPS) to the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) or polling stations (TPS).

Logistics distribution is carried out up to a minimum of three days before the election. As for the logistics of the ballot box, said Elias, it is made of duplex materials that are resistant to water.

To ensure more security in shipments, especially in the midst of the current rainy season, the KPU also covers or prepares a wrapper in the form of transparent paper.

The Lembata KPU has also mapped the TPS with difficulty signaling to power grids and has coordinated with local governments and PLN.
